Yeah, I second Maria's comment. When you think about it, a flame is light, so if it's white, it ought to be bright white, especially at the base 
And then there should be a noticeable highlight on the candle stick itself.
Otherwise looks pretty good! Maybe you could try adding a drop of wax rolling down the side or something?

Yes - I was randomly using the smudge tool to make something but it didn't turn out the way I wanted it to...
So I just made it into a candle.
